Philo Affiliates

Purpose

The Philo Affiliate is multi-faceted. It is a way of uniting women of the highest caliber and having them take part in such activities that would strengthen Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and improve civic and community conditions. Even more so, to take part in activities that will help develop and support educational and cultural services among the sorority's youth affiliates. In addition to functioning as an affiliate to the Kappa Omicron Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Central Pennsylvania.

Expectations

Each Philo Affiliate is sponsored by the local Alumnae Chapter, in this case Kappa Omicron sigma Alumnae Chapter, and is expected to adhere to the policies and procedures of the Sorority. The structure of the Philo Affiliates mirrors the Sorority in the Philos are organized and meet locally, regionally and internationally.

National Activites

Local Activities

Philos contribute significantly to scholarship funds locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. In addition, Philos have the opportunity to participate in pageants and competitions on the regional and national level, as well as run for elected positions.
